Set up ChatGPT

按小组人数选好 ChatGPT 方案，在网站关掉模型训练，装好 ChatGPT Desktop App，再打开 3 个设置。做完记得继续 Part 2。

Choose a ChatGPT plan for your group, switch off model training on the website, install the app, enable three desktop settings. Part 2 comes after.

1注册 ChatGPT 账号Create your ChatGPT account

打开 chatgpt.com，按 Sign upGo to chatgpt.com and click Sign up

按右上角 Sign up for freeClick Sign up for free at the top right
选你上课也会用的方式：可以按 Continue with Google 用 Google 账号，或在 Email address 填自己的 email 再按 Continue。两种都可以，跟着页面做就好Choose the method you'll use in class: click Continue with Google for your Google account, or enter your email in Email address and click Continue. Either works; follow the onscreen steps

最佳体验：每位同学各自用一个 $20 / 月的 ChatGPT Plus 账号。请用上课时会在这台电脑登录的账号订阅。Best experience: one $20/month ChatGPT Plus account per person. Subscribe using the account you will sign in to on this laptop during class.

2 位同组同学共用一个 ChatGPT Plus 账号也可以（$20 / 月）；各自订阅一个账号，体验会更好。请确认上课时这台电脑登录的是已订阅的账号。For 2 people in one group, sharing one ChatGPT Plus account ($20/month) is OK; a separate account each gives the best experience. Make sure this laptop signs in to the subscribed account in class.

3–8 位同组同学：建议升级到 ChatGPT Pro $100（$100 / 月），由小组共用。请确认上课时这台电脑登录的是已订阅的账号。For 3–8 people in one group, we recommend upgrading to ChatGPT Pro $100 ($100/month) and sharing it within the group. Make sure this laptop signs in to the subscribed account in class.

人数超过以上建议的范围时，共用一个账号可能会出现意想不到的错误。Sharing one account with more people than recommended may cause unexpected errors.

2升级到适合小组的方案Upgrade to your group's plan

在浏览器打开 chatgpt.com，用刚订阅方案的账号登录。点左下角账号菜单 → Settings；截图会告诉您要点哪里。

In your browser, open chatgpt.com (signed in to the same account that bought your plan): open the account menu → Settings at the bottom left. Each screenshot below shows exactly where to click.

3打开 SettingsOpen Settings

点这一行的 On，再关掉Open this On control to switch it off

上课时会用到公司的真实数据；关掉这个开关，数据就不会被用来训练模型。In class you'll show ChatGPT real company data; this keeps it out of model training.

打开 ChatGPT。第一次问「是否要打开？」→ 按 OpenOpen ChatGPT. The first time it asks "Are you sure you want to open it?" → click Open

2安装（Windows）Install (Windows)

打开下载好的安装文件Open the downloaded installer
跟着安装程序做（需要 Windows 10 或更新版本）。装好后 App 会自己打开Follow the installer (needs Windows 10 or newer). It runs on its own and opens the app when done

安装时可能看到以下弹窗，也可能一个都没出现，都正常：One of these boxes may pop up while installing; seeing neither is normal too:

蓝色 "Windows protected your PC"Blue "Windows protected your PC": 先确认文件是从上面的 chatgpt.com/download 官方链接下载，而且显示的发布者是 OpenAI，才按 More info → Run anyway。有任何不一样，请先停下来，到课程 WhatsApp 群问我们。Only click More info → Run anyway if you downloaded the file from the official chatgpt.com/download link above and the publisher shown is OpenAI. If anything looks different, stop and ask in the course WhatsApp group.

3用同一个账号登录 AppSign in with the same account

aApp 打开后，按 Log in / Get startedWhen the app opens, click Log in / Get started
b用刚才注册和订阅 Plus 的方式登录（Google 账号或 email），跟着页面做就好Sign in with the same method and account you used to buy Plus (Google or email), then follow the onscreen steps

要用订阅 Plus 的同一个账号，换个账号就没有 Plus 了。It must be the same account that bought Plus. A different account won't have Plus.

确认一下Looks like thisApp 已登录，输入框里可以打字The app is signed in, and you can type in its box

设置 Desktop App，准备上课Configure the installed desktop app for class接下来请在装好的 Desktop App 里做，网站上找不到这些设置。Next phase: complete all settings below in the installed desktop app, not on the website.

打开 ChatGPT Desktop App，点账号菜单 → Settings。下面 3 个设置都在这里，跟着截图点就好。

Open the desktop app and click the account menu → Settings. All 3 steps below are in the desktop app Settings — each screenshot shows exactly where to click.

接下来换到 App：账号和隐私设置刚才是在网站上做的。这 3 个设置请在 ChatGPT Desktop App 里找，截图会带你找到。Location change: account and privacy setup was done on the ChatGPT website. From here on, make these changes in the installed ChatGPT desktop app, not in the browser.

1安装浏览器控制：Settings → Computer use → InstallInstall browser control: Settings → Computer use → click Install

Settings›Computer use

左边选 Computer use，在 Google Chrome 那一行按 Install，跟着装完On the left select Computer use, then on the Google Chrome row click Install and finish installing it

选 Computer use，再按 Chrome 那一行的 InstallSelect Computer use, then click Install on the Chrome row

2打开 Full access：Settings → General → 打开 Full accessTurn on Full access: Settings → General → switch on Full access

Settings›General

左边选 General，把 Full access 的开关打开On the left select General, then switch on Full access

选 General，把 Full access 打开Select General, then turn Full access on

提醒一下：打开 Full access 后，ChatGPT 不用再问你，就能改文件和运行联网命令。请只在这台电脑的课程 folder 里使用，先关掉不相关的敏感文件。Note: with Full access on, ChatGPT can edit files and run network commands without asking; use it only on this computer and course folder, and keep unrelated sensitive files closed.

3打开 Enable local memories：Settings → PersonalizationTurn on local memories: Settings → Personalization → switch on Enable local memories

Settings›Personalization

左边选 Personalization，把 Enable local memories 的开关打开On the left select Personalization, then switch on Enable local memories

选 Personalization，把 Enable local memories 打开Select Personalization, then turn Enable local memories on

确认一下Looks like this浏览器控制已安装，Full access 和 Enable local memories 都已打开Browser control is installed, and both Full access and Enable local memories are on
